Christmas is a time when we value closeness, warmth, and small gestures that warm the heart. What could be more sincere than a handmade gift – especially when it’s something as luxurious and delicious as handmade chocolate truffles?

Örreke’s chocolate truffle workshop offers a chance to experience a true creative and taste sensation. In the workshop, you can roll elegant treats from truffle mass together with friends, colleagues, or children, decorate them with edible berry powders and fine details, and finish each candy with your own personal touch. In addition to the enjoyment, the workshop covers the fascinating history of chocolate and the rainforests of Central and South America, where the cacao tree was first discovered and turned into a sacred drink. At the same time, you’ll learn about the challenges of today’s cocoa industry and the topic of fair trade.

The history of cocoa is rich and colorful – centuries ago, the Olmec, Mayan, and Aztec civilizations used cocoa beans for drinks, rituals, and even pain relief. Cocoa was highly valued and even used as a form of currency. Today, chocolate has reached every home in the world as one of the most popular treats, but behind its production lie several complex issues such as child labor, fair pay, and environmental sustainability.

Handmade chocolate truffles aren’t just a sweet treat; they combine tradition, creativity, and care for both the recipient and the entire cocoa industry. It’s an experience that teaches, inspires, and tastes wonderful.
